Chip Henderson

AIA, CEM, LEED-Faculty

Chip graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Architecture and is currently pursuing certification as a Passive House Consultant. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Building Commissioning Association. As a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers and LEED faculty with the US Green Building Council, Chip works full time with residential and commercial project teams to help identify and implement a sustainable, quality-focused process to plan, design, build and operate high-performance homes and buildings.

Chip provides design, construction management and consulting services to residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities typically include programming, design and project specifications, site development, contract negotiations, and construction administration.

By providing building performance consulting and code inspections for the EPA’s Energy Star program, the mortgage industry, contractors, building owners and the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC), he inspires levels of camaraderie and cooperation between subcontractors resulting in exemplary levels of quality and workmanship. He also has project experience that include traditional neighborhood design, utility and infrastructure placement, dams, bridges and native landscaping.

His expertise in building technology and site ecology are combined to create enduring architecture and healthy environments while maintaining a deep appreciation of the natural environment.
