Project Goal:

Presley Park is a privately owned affordable housing community being developed off of Goodman Road in Lake Charles, LA. The project consists of 21 single family homes, infrastructure and several community / civic buildings. Presley Park is the first “green” building project for Reeves Development. All 100 homes are constructed under the guidelines of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Program. LEED is an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The LEED program focuses on construction that is environmentally responsive, energy efficient, durable, healthy and safe. All homes undergo an independent third party inspection prior to LEED certification. Construction of a LEED certified homes results in a superior product for both the environment and the tenants of the homes. National statistics show that on average, a LEED certified home uses 32% less energy and water than conventional construction. For the tenants of Presley Park, this will on average save them over $660 per year in utilities cost. Reeves Development is proud to be on the forefront of bringing “Green” construction to affordable housing. Additional LEED certified affordable housing developments are in the planning phases for the Lake Area.
